Deadly means likely or able to cause someone's death.

There are many animals, insects and even birds in Australia that are classed as 'deadly'. These include the saltwater crocodile, cassowary and tiapan snake (pictured below). Others include varieties of stonefish, the blue-ringed octopus, box jellyfish, tiger shark, great white shark, funnel-web spider, redback spider, eastern brown snake and tiger snake.
